General•unable to resolve server address

using shimo for some years now, but it starts to bug me, that after some hours of usage (with openvpn connected to a Cisco-HW-VPN) it disconnects, sometimes it's able to reconnect automatically, sometimes it is not. If it gives up with the above mentioned error, I have no other way (found yet) as to reboot my Mac.
Is there at least a workaround, how to "reset" shimo to a state, where it can connect, without rebooting?
Config: Mac OS X 10.6.2, Shimo 2.2.2, openvpn
