Shimo 2•OpenVPN problems with Snow Leopard sleeping
-
I've recently started using the openVPN implementation in Shimo. I'm finding that it does not close the openVPN connection when Snow Leopard sleeps. When I resume the computer I have to close Shimo, physically kill openVPN from a shell, then restart Shimo. Is this normal behaviour? If not, can anyone offer any solution? Thanks.

Unfortunately this has been "normal" since Snow Leopard. There are a few bugs that were filed months ago but no real workarounds that I've seen other than what you're already doing (killing manually). It especially sucks if you use a dns server on the other end of the vpn as it'll still be active when you un-sleep and nothing will work until you kill that process.

In Shimo3 VPN connections will be disconnected upon sleep and reconnected after sleep. That should work... so stay tuned :-)
