Shimo 2•Shimo Update Utility

  • Every time I launch Shimo, it presents the update dialog telling me it needs to install kernel drivers and a helper tool, even though these are already installed. Is there a way to inform Shimo that these are already there?

  • Doesn't it help to check the checkbox to not show the dialog again?

  • Thanks for the suggestion. Well, it helps in the sense that it doesn't show the dialog upon launch. Drawback is that Shimo now seems to think that these components are not installed. As a consequence, I can only add profiles for Cisco and PPTP/L2TP servers.

    I assumed the checkbox was there for those who do not want to install the additional components and do not want to be reminded every time Shimo is launched.

  • This did the same for me until I quit Shimo and restarted it. Worked no issue after that.
